“We welcome this proclamation as recognition of the growing positive role American Muslims play in our society,” said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw. “Muslims recognize the importance of active civic involvement on issues of importance to all Americans.”

He noted that earlier this year, CAIR’s New Jersey chapter celebrated the signing of the Muslim Heritage Month Resolution into law by New Jersey Governor Philip D. Murphy.

CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.

La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
