The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today released the program schedule for its two-day national leadership and policy conference scheduled to take place in Washington, DC from Friday, September 19th to Saturday, September 20th.
The event, which is open to registered and vetted members of the public, is scheduled to feature educational panels, strategic discussions and workshops on activism, advocacy, and political engagement.
Scheduled speakers include attorneys for students targeted by the government and other civil rights lawyers, scholars, human rights and political activists, organizational directors, and student leaders who plan to address issues related free speech, civic engagement, immigrant rights, media strategy, and human rights.
Each session opens with brief remarks followed by interactive Q&A discussions.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
