DC: Amesty Board Chair To Speak At CAIR Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/9/05) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) announced today that Amnesty International USA Board Chair Chip Pitts will speak at a Saturday luncheon during its “Islamophobia and Anti-Americanism: Causes and Remedies” conference this weekend in Washington, D.C. Other keynote speakers at CAIR’s conference include former Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim (Saturday evening banquet) and Professor Cherif Bassiouni (Friday evening dinner), an internationally-acclaimed law professor who was until recently the United Nations’ top investigator on human rights in Afghanistan.
