DC: Sunni, Shia Community Leaders to Hold Joint Press Conference at CAIR Capitol Hill HQ to Respond to New Mexico Shootings Arrest 

(WASHINGTON, DC – 8/9/22) – This evening (Aug. 9th at 7:30 p.m. ET), Muslim community and organizational leaders from the Sunni and Shia traditions plan to host a joint press conference to express “unity and solidarity” in response to the arrest of a suspect in the murders of four Muslim men in Alburquerque, New Mexico.

Earlier today, CAIR welcomed the arrest of a suspect in the shooting deaths of four New Mexico Muslim men and strongly condemned the anti-Shia hatred that may have motivated the killings.
