CAIR: SEATING AT VA AMR KHALED EVENT ‘FIRST-COME, FIRST-SEATED’
(HERNDON, VA, 5/9/07) – The Maryland and Virginia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MD/VA) announced today that seating at the May 12th appearance of Muslim television personality Amr Khaled will be available only on a “first-come, first-seated” basis.
Due to space limitations, some of those who do gain entrance to the event will view the lecture on a television screen. Doors will close promptly at 9 p.m. Due to fire code restrictions, everyone attending the event must be seated. No standing-room-only space will be offered. No seating is guaranteed. The lecture will be delivered in Arabic; translation will be provided.
CAIR-MD/VA made its announcement in response to the overwhelming community interest in the event.
