The Council on American-Islamic Relations has condemned the Patriot Front’s actions in Magee.
“CAIR has opposed Patriot Front activities nationwide,” the group said in an email.
“Local, state and national leaders must oppose the growing recruitment efforts witnessed nationwide by groups promoting racist and white supremacist ideologies,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “It must be clearly demonstrated that bigots are in the minority in our nation.”
Hooper said Washington, D.C.-based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy and other forms of bigotry.
