Action Alert: Comedian Jeremy McLellan to Entertain at CAIR’s 23rd Annual Banquet

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/11/17) – Attendees at CAIR’s 23rd annual banquet on Saturday, October 28, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va., will be entertained by comedian Jeremy McLellan.

A recent profile of McLellan says: “[He] manages to work into his stand-up sets include some controversial topics, such as religion, foreign policy, police brutality, feminism, marriage equality and more. In fact, many of these topics have garnered the Christian comedian attention from the Muslim community.”

“The things I like talking about are also things the Muslim community cares a lot about and talks a lot about,” says McLellan.

With the theme “Living Our Faith: Defending Freedom,” CAIR’s 23rd Annual Banquet will feature a number of other nationally-known speakers and awardees, including:

  • Imam Suhaib Webb, Islamic Scholar and Community Leader
  • Arizona U.S. Senate Candidate Deedra Abboud
  • Abdul El-Sayed, 2018 Candidate for Governor of Michigan
  • Azhar Azeez, President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)

Banquet attendees will also meet the winners of CAIR’s annual awards and will hear from the surviving hero and from relatives of the two men who gave their lives in defense of others in Oregon.
