Is your member of Congress one of the 72 lawmakers taking part this August in the anti-Palestinian lobby group American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) 2019 propaganda tour of Israel, including the occupied West Bank?
Find out below by checking who are the 42 Democratic and 31 Republican lawmakers that are touring Israel with AIPAC – and then act with CAIR’s click-and-send action alert that tells Congress to:
“Please stop empowering AIPAC, an agenda-driven group that has for decades enabled the Israeli government’s segregationist policies, resulting in the denial of human rights for Christian and Muslim Palestinians. AIPAC actively undermines Palestinian rights and is not considered a reliable source on the status of Israel and Palestine. . . Americans should expect better from their members of Congress when it comes to human rights and not worry about them attending all-expense paid trips that whitewash Israel’s human rights abuses.”

AIPAC is an anti-Palestinian lobby group that has funded Islamophobic causes. The trip is organized for new members of Congress by the American Israel Education Foundation, an affiliate of AIPAC. It is unlikely during their AIPAC-sponsored trip members of Congress will learn much about Israel violating international law, as trip tour guides gloss over:
- Israel’s newly-approved plans to construct 6,000 new homes for Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank
- Israeli forces demolishing 10 Palestinian apartment buildings near Jerusalem because they were too close to the #ApartheidWall
- an independent United Nations report earlier this year finding “reasonable grounds” that Israel violated international humanitarian law with Israeli forces having “no justification” for using live rounds during last year’s protests along Gaza’s border fence that led to the shooting deaths of more than 180 Palestinians.
According to the Times of Israel, here is the full list of the 72 Democratic and Republican House members visiting Israel with AIPAC.
