(PHOENIX, AZ, 2/9/2023) – The Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Arizona) today condemned an incident of alleged racist harassment targeting Native Americans in Scottsdale, Ariz.
A man was reportedly caught on camera taunting a group of Native-American performers filming for the Super Bowl in Scottsdale with racist slurs. Today, police announced that charges would be submitted against the man for three counts of disorderly conduct.

“We condemn this despicable act of harassment and stand in solidarity with the Indigenous community and all those targeted with racist hate.” said CAIR-AZ Executive Director Azza Abuseif.
She said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
