(PHOENIX, AZ, 8/30/07) – The Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-AZ) recently helped coordinate a meeting between representatives of the FBI and the Muslim community at the Islamic Center of Tucson.
The agents spoke about the functions of the FBI and took questions from the audience. Many of the questions related to delays in citizenship stemming from extended name checks by the FBI. The FBI representatives suggested that audience members urge their US representatives to increase the number of FBI agents working on this task to speed up the process.
