CAIR Calls for State Department to Condemn RSF’s Massacre of Villagers in Sudan, Repeats Demand that Militia Never Receive U.S. Recognition

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on the State Department to condemn a reported massacre of villagers by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan and repeated its demand that the militia never receive U.S. recognition

Almost 300 people were reportedly killed by RSF forces in North Kordofan over the weekend.

In a statement, Washington, D.C., based CAIR said:

“We again condemn the deadly violence targeting the civilian population by the so-called Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. Our government must condemn the violence, demand that no American allies support the RSF, and clearly state that RSF will never receive U.S. recognition.”
