The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called Gaza “the graveyard for the myth of human rights” after yet another Israeli massacre of starving Palestinians forced to seek food at U.S.-back concentration sites in Gaza.
Israeli forces slaughtered at least 10 people near a concentration site northwest of Rafah. Israel has murdered almost 56,000 people in Gaza, mostly women and children.
In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“Gaza has become the graveyard for the myth of human rights as women, children, men, the elderly, the disabled, journalists, first responders, and medical personnel are slaughtered daily with the complicity of our government and enabled by the inaction of the world community. For decades to come, calls from Western leaders to respect human rights will ring hollow after the horror we have witnessed in Gaza.”
Last week, CAIR condemned the world’s silence after yet another Israeli massacre of starving Palestinians and said Israeli food concentration sites in Gaza are in fact “human slaughterhouses” after Israeli tanks fired into a crowd trying to get aid from trucks, killing at least 59 people.
CAIR also condemned the Israeli occupation’s slaughter of 34 Palestinians near food concentration points as “sociopathic.”
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
La misión de CAIR es proteger las libertades civiles, mejorar la comprensión del Islam, promover la justicia, y empoderar a los musulmanes en los Estados Unidos.
