CAIR-Cincinnati Director to Take Part in Military Ceremony Honoring Relative Who Fought in Civil War

(CINCINNATI, OH, 8/7/15) – Later today, CAIR-Cincinnati Executive Director Karen Dabdoub will join other members of her family in a military ceremony at the grave of her great, great grandfather, who fought in the Civil War.

Civil War veteran William Nathaniel Woodruff never had a gravestone and never received military honors at his grave. He was born in England and died in Wapakoneta, Ohio, in 1911. His family was not able to purchase a grave marker when he died. As a Civil War veteran, Woodruff is entitled to military honors at his grave site. The ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. today at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 12502 Presar Rd., Wapakoneta, Ohio.
