(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/11/08) – The American Muslim Alliance (AMA), in cooperation with CAIR, MAS Freedom Foundation, Friends of Human Rights and the Tampa Bay Coalition for Justice and Peace, will hold a civil rights forum focusing on the case of Dr. Sami Al-Arian on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Washington, D.C.

The forum will focus on the unjust detention and abuse of legal process against Dr. Sami Al-Arian. His new trial is expected to start the following day, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Albert V. Bryan Federal Courthouse, 401 Courthouse Square, Alexandria, Virginia.
This forum is open to the public, however seating is limited. There will be light refreshments.
