(WASHINGTON, D.C., 12/2/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic flyers in South Carolina.
Residents in Horry County, S.C., neighborhoods found the hate flyers in their driveways Friday morning.

“We join all those in South Carolina and nationwide who value respect for racial and religious diversity in condemning this latest attempt to promote hatred in our communities,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
Hooper added that earlier today, CAIR’s Missouri and Connecticut chapters condemned the distribution of white supremacist and antisemitic hate propaganda in those states. In October, CAIR condemned a previous distribution of hate materials in South Carolina.
He noted that CAIR has similarly condemned the promotion of racist hate in a number of other states nationwide.
CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
CAIR’s mission is to protect civil rights, enhance understanding of Islam, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.
