CAIR Condemns Distribution of Antisemitic Propaganda in North Carolina

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned the distribution of antisemitic hate propaganda in North Carolina.

According to media reports, antisemitic flyers promoting hateful conspiracy theories and white supremacist ideology were recently distributed in residential neighborhoods in Sanford, North Carolina.

In a statement, CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper said:

“We condemn this attempt to promote antisemitic hate in North Carolina. Such vile acts are part of a deeply disturbing pattern of white supremacist activity targeting vulnerable communities across the country. There can be no place for antisemitism, white supremacy, racism, or bigotry of any kind in our society.”

He added that earlier this month, CAIR condemned a recent neo-Nazi march in Concord, New Hampshire, and its Ohio chapter condemned both the distribution of racist propaganda in Cincinnati and a white supremacist rally planned in Brown County, Ohio.

Hooper noted that CAIR recently condemned neo-Nazi vandalism targeting a Jewish museum in Oregon, racist vandalism in Tennessee and an alleged racist stabbing in Illinois.

Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
