Muslim civil rights group also condemns racist homecoming proposal in that state
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/4/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned racist vandalism targeting an Indian restaurant in Henrico, Va.
Last weekend, Henrico’s India K’Raja restaurant was vandalized with racist graffiti. The sides and back of the building were spray-painted with derogatory words and slurs such as “Do* He***” targeting South Asians. Henrico police are investigating the incident as vandalism and have documented the matter as a “biased-based incident.” Police are still searching for a suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
