(KANSAS CITY, KS, 8/25/2023) – The Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-KS), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today welcomed a decision by a farmers’ market in Overland Park, Kan., to suspend an allegedly antisemitic vendor.
The vendor reportedly made antisemitic comments and references on a number of social media posts. Some of the comments have been deleted, while others reportedly remain visible.

“The vile antisemitic comments allegedly made by this vendor are deeply shocking and we welcome the decision of the farmers’ market to take action,” said CAIR-KS Board Chair Moussa Elbayoumy. “Antisemitism, like all other forms of bigotry, must be challenged and repudiated.”
He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
