CAIR, Maryland Jewish Groups Assemble ‘Blessing Bags’ for Homeless on Governor’s Day to Serve

zainablunch92716(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/27/16) – On Monday, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, joined with Maryland’s Jewish community to assemble “blessing bags†for the homeless.

The event included an interfaith discussion on social justice facilitated by the Institute for Islamic, Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS).

CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
