CAIR-NY TO TAKE PART IN PEACE WALK
(NEW YORK, NY 7/12/07) – The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) today called on Muslim New Yorkers and all people of conscience to participate in a walk for peace. The walk, entitled “The Children of Abraham Peace Walk,” aims to unite area religious groups in denouncing violence.
“The peace walk is a meaningful opportunity to make public a shared interfaith and interracial commitment to peace,” said CAIR-NY Civil Rights Coordinator Aliya Latif. “Come join us in solidarity to dispel stereotypes and promote tolerance.”
