(BALTIMORE, MD, 5/10/2018) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today offered condolences to the family and loved ones of Baltimore County Executive and Maryland gubernatorial candidate Kevin Kamenetz, who died suddenly early this morning at the age of 60.
“County Executive Kamenetz was a long-time leader and dedicated public servant who steadfastly advocated for Baltimore County’s most vulnerable and marginalized communities,” said CAIR Director for Maryland Outreach Zainab Chaudry. “He was a friend of the Muslim community, and our prayers go out to his family as we join Baltimore County and the entire state of Maryland in honoring his memory.”
