(ORLANDO, FL, 12/27/2007) – On December 24, 2007, the Orlando chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Orlando) participated in “Food for Families,” a project to collect food and deliver care packages to needy families. Volunteers delivered packages to more than 800 central Florida families.
CAIR-Orlando joined the initiative as part of its “Muslims Care” campaign, which is designed to encourage volunteerism in the American Muslim community.

“As American Muslims, we have an obligation to contribute to the communities in which we live,” said CAIR-Orlando Executive Director Danette Zaghari-Mask.
