Over the past several weeks, Burmese soldiers have traveled from village to village in Rahkine State, committing mass murder, rape and arson along the way. Survivors, bystanders, and even perpetrators have posted video footage online showing Rohingya men, women and children being beaten to death, dismembered, and burned alive, among other acts of brutality.
“The deafening silence from world leaders needs a response from the citizens of the world. The violence and persecution faced by the Rohingya in Myanmar must be addressed by all nations and leaders,” said Sarwat Husain, President of CAIR-SA
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
