CAIR-SAN DIEGO REP JOINS PANEL DISCUSSION ON ISLAMOPHOBIA
(SAN DIEGO, CA, 3/26/07) – On Saturday, March 24th, a representative of the San Diego chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-San Diego) joined a panel discussion on “Islamophobia: It’s Root Causes and Remedies,” sponsored by the Logan Islamic Community Center.
More than 50 people attended the event at the Malcolm X Public Library. The panelists included Jesse Mills, Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of San Diego and CAIR-San Diego Public Relations Director Edgar Hopida.
The event included a forum session that allowed the audience to participate in exploring ways to reduce Islamophobia in the community.
