CEO reportedly ridicules, denies employment to Virginia Muslim woman for requesting five-minute prayer breaks
(WASHINGTON, DC, 9/24/19) — On Wednesday, Sept. 25, representatives of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will hold a news conference in Falls Church, Va., to detail a disturbing incident of alleged religious discrimination by Fast Trak, Inc.
Fast Trak’s CEO allegedly ridiculed a Virginia Muslim job applicant – in front of company staff – by pointing at her hijab (religious head covering) and mocking her faith and her request for five-minute prayer breaks. Fast Trak reportedly denied her religious accommodation request and refused her employment.
At the news conference, CAIR representatives, along with the Virginia woman who was ridiculed and denied employment, will announce the filing of a lawsuit against Fast Trak, Inc.

CAIR has reported an unprecedented spike in bigotry targeting American Muslims, immigrants and members of other minority groups since the election of Donald Trump as president.
