(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/17/17) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations will honor Hawaii Attorney General Douglas S. Chin with its “Defending Liberty Award” at CAIR’s 23rd annual banquet on Saturday, October 28, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va.
Chin said, “Today is another victory for the rule of law. We stand ready to defend it,” in response to a decision today by a federal judge in Hawaii to block the Trump administration from implementing “Muslim Ban 3.0,” the latest version of the president’s controversial travel ban. Chin’s office filed that legal challenge.
In past years, the banquet has sold out. No tickets will be sold at the door, so register TODAY to reserve your place.
