CAIR TO HOST CAPITOL HILL PANEL ON CLOSURE OF GITMO PRISON CAMP
(WASHINGTON, DC, 6/22/06) – On June 27, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will host a panel discussion on Capitol Hill to discuss the need to close the U.S. prison camp at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
The discussion, entitled “Should the U.S. Shut Down Gitmo?” features former Guantanamo Bay Muslim Chaplain James Yee and Gene Fidell of Feldesman, Tucker, Leifer and Fidell. Fidell is an attorney who has worked on cases involving Guantanamo Bay inmates.
Refreshments will be served. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
