Community leaders to speak against extremism, terrorism and ISIS
(HOUSTON, TEXAS, 10/2/14) â€“ On Friday, October 3, the Houston office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), along with other Houston-area religious and community leaders, will hold a rally to denounce the terrorist group ISIS and to express their support of unity and peace.

“It's important that the interfaith community come together and share the message that we condemn ISIS and strive for peace and unity,” said Mustafaa Carroll, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Texas, Houston chapter.
In addition to leaders from the Houston Muslim community, religious leaders and community representatives from other faiths will attend the rally to speak out against ISIS.
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
