(KANSAS CITY, MO, 12/8/2017) — On Saturday December 9, the Kansas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Kansas) will join the Muslim American Society-Kansas City (MAS-KC) and Citizens for Justice in the Middle East (CJME) for a rally at the J.C. Nichols Fountain, Country Club Plaza, in Kansas City, Mo., to protest President Trump’s change of a decades-long policy on the status of Jerusalem.

“This impulsive, unjustified and drastic change overturning a long-standing policy of the United States will harm our Muslim allies and our nation’s strategic foreign policy interests, and will empower political and religious extremists of all stripes at home and abroad,” said Habib Mir, Board Member of CAIR-Kansas, “It should be rejected and opposed by all Americans in favor of a fair and peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.” he continued.
