(BALTIMORE, MD, 6/16/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today urged stepped up security measures for students in Maryland’s Wicomico County following revelation of a video that appears to show a student with a gun uttering a racist and violent statement.

“Because of all the violent incidents targeting schools and other public spaces nationwide, law enforcement and school district authorities must increase security measures for students and staff,” said CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry.
