Important Hearing 11/15 on Virginia Muslim’s No-Fly List Case

Gulet(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/14/13) – Tomorrow at 10 a.m., there will be an important hearing on whether Gulet Mohamed’s lawsuit challenging his placement on the no-fly list will go forward. The hearing before Judge Trenga will determine how the trial court proceeds in light of the 4th circuit’s recent decision in Mohamed’s favor.

Mohamed, a U.S. citizen, is challenging the ability of the government to prevent – via the no-fly list – Americans from returning to the United States. Additionally, he is seeking a constitutionally-adequate process to challenge the basis for his inclusion on the list. The hearing is 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15 before Judge Anthony Trenga in Courtroom 701 of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, Va.
