CAIR-TAMPA PRESS CONFERENCE TO CONDEMN CHURCH VANDALISM
(TAMPA, FL, 6/27/07) – On June 26, the Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Tampa) held a news conference at a local church targeted by vandals. According to church officials, the vandals wrote “Traitors Support Terrorist” on a wall of the church. The church is known for its support of the local Muslim community on civil rights issues.

The church’s pastor thanked CAIR for speaking out against the vandalism, saying during the news conference, “Sometimes I feel that Muslims understand the message of Jesus better than we do.”
