Officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the largest Muslim civil rights organization in the nation, said Friday it condemns the distribution of the flyer.
“We are unfortunately witnessing the promotion of hate-filled ideologies nationwide that seek to tear our country apart,” said Ibrahim Hooper, the organization’s national communications director. “We call on public officials and community leaders in Iowa and around the nation to repudiate hate, promote mutual respect and push back against the trend toward societal division.”
