BREAKING: CAIR Calls on Congress to Forcibly End Iran War After Senior Trump Official Resigns, Admits Israel Manipulated U.S. into War

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on Congress to force an end to the U.S.-Israel war on Iran after a senior U.S. intelligence official resigned and admitted that the war was initiated “due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”

Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent wrote in a post on X“I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.”

[NOTE: CAIR recently highlighted Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s “stunning admission” confirming that the Israeli government forced the United States into a war with Iran.]

In a statement, CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said:

“We welcome National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent’s unprecedented and courageous decision to not only resign in protest of the Iran war but also to publicly admit that Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation and that the Israeli government manipulated the Trump administration into this war of choice.

“Mr. Kent has sacrificed his career to tell the truth to the American people and prevent more American military personnel from dying for Israel in this unnecessary, unjustified and illegal war. President Trump must end this war now, and if he refuses, Congress must vote again and force him to do so. This is a war for Israel, not America, and it must end now.”

Earlier this month, CAIR called on congressional leaders, especially Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Rep. Jeffries, to explicitly oppose any bill that would provide funding for the illegal U.S.-Israeli war on Iran in the wake of the environmental disaster created in Tehran and the rising civilian death toll in Iran, Lebanon and other nations.

CAIR also called the U.S.-Israeli bombing of more Iranian schools a “blatant war crime” and condemned the Pentagon’s use of dangerous anti-Muslim “holy war rhetoric” to justify bombing Iran.

Washington, D.C., based CAIR had previously called on Congress to conduct a transparent and independent investigation into the massacre of 180 schoolgirls and teachers at the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls elementary school in Minab in a bombing reportedly perpetrated by the United States or Israel.
