(WASHINGTON D.C., 2/8/2022) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called for a hate crime investigation into racist threats targeting a Black history museum in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Washoe Co. recorder’s office has spent the past two years digitizing property records for the whole county. An online platform on which the public can access their property documents is set to be made available on Thursday. The platform will allow residents to remove any racist language in banning members of minority communities from owning or staying at the property from the documents. Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill has agreed to put up $1000 to cover the $43 fees of citizens wishing to make changes to their property documents.
