(DENVER, CO, 10/19/2021) – The Colorado chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Colorado) today condemned antisemitic vandalism of a Denver, Colo., Jewish school and public high school.
On Saturday night, Denver’s George Washington High School was vandalized with swastikas and hateful language. The Denver Academy of Torah, a Jewish day school, was vandalized the next evening. Rocks were thrown through the windows and an electrical box was damaged. The perpetrator of the vandalism at the Jewish school was allegedly confronted by someone who heard the glass being broken. The perpetrator reportedly referred to Jews in a disparaging way when confronted. Police do not believe the vandalisms are connected and are launching hate crime investigations into both incidents.

Cole said the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and other forms of bigotry.
