The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today condemned a white supremacist group’s signs put up in Caroline County, Virginia.
The signs by the white nationalist group Patriot Front appeared to be homemade and included the phrase “defend American labor.”
“The promotion of bigotry by white supremacist groups must be challenged in Virginia and nationwide,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. “Hate ideologies have no place in our nation and should be repudiated by all Americans, whatever their backgrounds.”
In November, CAIR condemned similar signs in Virginia’s Henrico County and a banner in Roanoke.
Earlier this month, CAIR condemned the distribution of neo-Nazi, white supremacist propaganda in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
Washington, D.C., based CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
