(BOSTON, MA, 7/7/2022) – The Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MA) today condemned the distribution of neo-Nazi flyers in Ipswich, Hamilton and Chatham, Mass.
Police in the three towns are investigating the flyers, which were allegedly distributed over the Independence Day weekend. The flyers advertised a white supremacist, neo-Nazi organization called the “Nationalist Social Club 131.”
Leaders in Massachusetts have been condemning white supremacist threats and propaganda since July 4th, including the march some of the offenders held at The Freedom Trail.
“These flyers are part of the uptick in racial violence coming from the white supremacist network,” said CAIR-MA Executive Director Tahirah Amatul-Wadud. “We urge law enforcement to be thorough and swift in their investigation into this disturbing incident and to be diligent in protecting the citizens of the Commonwealth from these threats.”
She noted that CAIR-Connecticut recently condemned flyers distributed by the same group.
