CAIR-PA Urges Muslims to Donate for the Needy on Eid

(PHILADELPHIA, PA, 9/27/07) – The Pennsylvania chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) is encouraging Muslims in the Delaware Valley to donate generously to the Eid Al-Fitr Gift Basket Program for the needy.

“Help make a family’s Eid brighter by donating to this program,” said CAIR-PA Executive Committee member Kareem Afzal, who noted that the program is part of Muslims Care, a CAIR project to promote volunteerism for a better America.

Last year’s program helped more than 50 families. More than 200 baskets have been donated to the needy over the past 3 years.
