CAIR Reports ‘Burn This Place Down’ Comment Targeting Kentucky Mosque to FBI

CAIR logo(WASHINGTON, D.C., 2/21/16) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today reported a Facebook comment threatening a Kentucky mosque to the FBI. Responding to a post on CAIR’s Facebook page profiling the Muslim community in Eastern Kentucky, a West Virginia man commented: “Burn this place down.â€

CAIR recently released a preliminary report on more than 70 incidents targeting American mosques and religious institutions in 2015 that showed a greater frequency of damage, destruction, vandalism, and intimidation than in any other year since CAIR started tracking such cases in 2009.
