CAIR Says Ongoing Massacres at Gaza Concentration Sites are Designed to Carry Out Ethnic Cleansing Campaign

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said daily massacres at Israeli concentration sites in Gaza, the forced displacement of the population to receive scraps of food at those sites and intentional destruction of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure are designed to carry out its campaign of ethnic cleansing.

Israel slaughtered at least 58 Palestinians across the Gaza on Saturday, many of them near an aid concentration site operated by the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). At least 274 people have been murdered, and more than 2,000 wounded, near GHF it began operations. At least 15 people were killed as they tried to approach one GHF concentration site.

Israel has murdered more than 55,000 people in Gaza, mostly women and children.

+972 Magazine, an Israeli publication, admits the “planned expulsion of Gaza’s population is already underway.

“Maybe you were waiting for the alarm bells to ring, or for the Israeli army spokesperson to issue an official announcement. But the mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza, long referred to in Israeli parlance as ‘transfer,’ is already underway. Not in some distant future. Right now…

“So how is the transfer being carried out at this moment? Through starvation and the destruction of vital infrastructure. Through the weaponization of ‘humanitarian aid.’ Through relentless, systematic bombing. Many of these tactics have been reported in the media, but the ‘food distribution method’ remains one of the least intuitive. It is crucial to understand: what may appear to be a ‘tragic logistical failure’ is, in fact, a deliberate strategy.”

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:

“Israel’s systematic campaign of forced starvation and intentional mass destruction of civilian infrastructure – and its use of concentration sites at which desperate families are slaughtered as they seek scraps of food for their children – are now key tools in its campaign of ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

“These unconscionable crimes against humanity are being carried out with the complicity of our government and because of the silence and inaction of the world community. The ethnic cleansing must stop. The genocide must end. The Palestinian people must be allowed to live in peace and freedom.”

Yesterday, CAIR called on the Trump administration to “join the world community in calling for an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza” after U.N. member nations voted overwhelmingly in favor a resolution to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all captives and unrestricted delivery of food to Palestinian civilians under an Israeli-imposed campaign of starvation.

CAIR also condemned Israel’s unilateral offensive strikes on Iran and called on the Trump administration to immediately halt all U.S. weapons transfers and military aid to the Netanyahu government.
