(NEW YORK, NY, 10/15/17) – Later today, the New York chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY), Muslim Community Network (MCN), the Yemeni American Merchants Association (YAMA), and other community partners will host a #NoMuslimBanEver prayer and vigil in Foley Square to protest President Trump’s Muslim Ban 3.0.
This event will begin with words from members of the affected nations, followed by Maghreb (sunset) prayer, a vigil, and a supplication.

The prayer and vigil is part of the #NoMuslimBanEver campaign, in which a coalition of national and local civil rights and Muslim advocacy groups are organizing events around the country to help lead the fight against President Trump’s unlawful, unconstitutional, discriminatory, and indefinite Muslim Ban 3.0. The campaign is also challenging other discriminatory immigration policies that have had a negative impact on Muslim communities across the country.
CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
